Can you please provide an option for removing twhirl's task tray icon? I'd like an option for this within the program. THANK YOU!

I'm curious about how the newest version of social networking will have staying power and transition into the name brand of twitter and facebook. Many of my computer consultant clients are looking for cutting edge, but seem lost in what's already out there. I hope it isn't too overwhelming.

Visit Dlinked.com it's cool. I have been researching Social Networking Sites for past 2 years and I accidently came across this article about Dlinked.com and that it's coming soon in may, I read the future possibilities that Dlinked will be offering it's users IT WAS AMAZING. Before I would never beilieve that there will be a social netowrk platform which could compete with Facebook or Myspace but now it's totally clear that Dlinked will definitelly do comete with these sites. I am hoping to see dlinked really soon, I can't wait!!!!

P.S. I am a social networking guru.,

@ Laura & @Steve

I have been asking for the same, especially support for Twitter's built-in RT, for months. Like Steve, I don't want a big attention-grabbing multi-column desktop, just a little app like Twhirl.

I posted the question to @twhirl and @seesmic on Twitter back on Dec 10th, and they replied that those features would be coming soon. But after a couple of months still they are nowhere to be found, and no word on if or when a new version is coming. And now that tweet appears to have been deleted too.

So I am just going to assume Twhirl is actually dead now.

Which sucks, but what else can you do. I am missing more and more RTs everyday, and that makes Twhirl close to useless for me.

I really didn't want to go back to Tweetdeck. But what else can I do?

I'm getting the distinct impression that the development of twhirl is stagnating, if it has not been abandoned altogether. Could the developers make some sort of statement on the blog as to the future of twhirl, as to whether we're supposed to hang on for new twitter features such as lists and retweets or whether it's time to move on to another client?

Twitter has recently added support for "lists". Seesmic Desktop already supports them. Is this support going to be added to Twhirl soon? I don't like Seesmic Desktop (or any multicolumn, attention-grabbing, "big" Twitter client); I want to keep using Twhirl, with access to all current Twitter features. If you don't plan to upgrade Twhirl with lists, please announce it, so we can chose another small client that could fulfill our needs. Thanks.
