We have been working really hard to get the latest twhirl release ready for you. twhirl 0.9 adds a lot of new features and fixes many bugs. This new version includes support for saved searches on Twitter, finds tweets mentioning your @username, allows cross-posting to many other sites via Ping.fm, creates short URLs with bit.ly, lets you record videos for Seesmic , updates your Seesmic timelines in (near-)real time using XMPP, and much more.
Twitter pushed an update to their API yesterday, which interfered with twhirl’s checking of user credentials. To fix this problem, please update your client to version 0.8.7, either through the internal update mechanism, or from the twhirl website!
In addition to this fix, we also upgraded twhirl to support the new capabilities in the latest Adobe AIR release 1.5. The installer should check and automatically update your AIR installation, too.
